В английском языке существует несколько настоящих времен и необходимо их различать. К настоящим временам относятся Present Simple и Present Continuous.

Present Simple используется, когда мы говорим о действиях, происходящих регулярно или постоянно.

e.g. I brush my teeth twice a day.

Present Continuous используется, когда мы говорим о действиях, которые происходят прямо сейчас, в данный момент.

e.g. I’m brushing my teeth now.

  Present Simple Present Continuous

I, you, we, they +V(глагол)

He, she, it + V(s)

e.g.I drink coffee in the morning.

He drinks coffee in the morning.

Am/is/are + V-ing

e.g. I am drinking coffee now.

She is drinking coffee at the moment.

I, you, we, they + don’t + V

He, she, it + doesn’t + V

She doesn’t drink coffee in the morning.

Am not/ isn’t/aren’t + V-ing

e.g. I am not drinking coffee now.

She is not drinking coffee at the moment.

Do + I, you, we, they + V

e.g. Do you drink coffee in the morning?                   Yes, I do./No, I don’t.

Does she drink coffee in the morning?         Yes, she does./No, she doesn’t.

Am/Is/Are + S + V-ing?

e.g.Are you drinking coffee now?       Yes, I am./No, I’m not.

Is she drinking coffee at the moment?        Yes, she is./No, she isn’t.
