Countable and Uncountable nouns.
Countable nouns (исчисляемые существительные) – это существительные, которые можно посчитать по штукам.
e.g. apples, cups, people.
Исчисляемые существительные могут иметь как единственное, так и множественное число.
e.g. one apple – ten apples, one cup – three cups, one person – five people.
Uncountable nouns (неисчисляемые существительные) – это существительные, которые нельзя посчитать и перед которыми нельзя поставить цифру.
e.g. milk, sugar, love
Неисчисляемые существительные не имеют формы множественного числа, хотя на русский иногда переводятся во множественном числе.
e.g. money – деньги

- Как и в русском языке, неисчисляемые существительные МОЖНО посчитать вспомогательными средствами:
e.g. two bottles of Coke.

- C неисчисляемыми существительными используется глагол в единственном числе.
e.g. There isn’t any rice left.
